Rangers Cut Asking Price For Key Star To £13m As Eight Clubs Circle

Rangers have dropped their asking price for Alfredo Morelos to just £13m, according to the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.

The local newspaper’s chief sports writer Lee Ryder claims that the player’s representatives have made it known that the Light Blues are willing to reduce their price tag after initially demanding a £25m fee.

It is believed that the ongoing health crisis, which has put pressure on club finances, is a big reason why the Gers may be willing to let Morelos leave for a lower amount.

Reports in Spain have claimed that Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Leicester and Inter Milan are all interested in the Colombian international.

Considering the number of teams that could make a bid for Morelos, there is a possibility of a bidding war. If that turns out to be the case, it may lead to the forward being sold for a lot more than the new asking price.
