Rangers Consider Bold Move For £18m PL Striker As Morelos Replacement

Rangers are considering a bid for Watford striker Andre Gray, according to reports in the Scottish media.

The 27-year-old signed from Burnley for £18m in the 2017 summer transfer window but has struggled for regular game time under manager Javi Gracia.

Gers boss Steven Gerrard is looking at possible options if Alfredo Morelos is sold. The Colombian has been linked with the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt over the past few months, and the striker could be offloaded in the summer.

Funds from the sale could then be used to find a replacement with Gray a potential candidate. A loan offer is said to be more realistic than a permanent move and the striker’s wages are likely to be an obstacle to any deal.

The Watford star has scored twice in his last two games for the Hornets so it remains to be seen whether the English Premier League side would want to let him go.
