Rangers Come Out On Top As Table Shows The Home Form Of Every Team In Europe Without Fans

The Ibrox Stadium.

Rangers’ 100% win record at home since the beginning of the global health emergency is the joint-best of any team in European football. Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt are the only other club to match that achievement.

Celtic have a rather modest 63.6% win percentage in comparison, while the best home record in the English top-flight is Manchester City (81.3%).

Pep Guardiola’s side are narrowly ahead of Liverpool (71.4%), with Chelsea (61.5%) and Spurs (57.1%) making up the top four. Arsenal are joint sixth in the Premier League (on 50%), while Manchester United have only won 46.2% of their home games, just below West Ham on 46.7%.

The data comes from the CIES Football Observatory, who have been looking into how the absence of supporters at grounds is affecting the results of home teams.

There has been a slight drop in wins for the home sides behind closed doors, with 42% of victories for the home team, compared to 45.1% in the 15 months before April last year.
