Rangers Add 17 Goal Austrian Ace To Five Man Shortlist Of Replacements For Morelos

Rangers are scouting Clermont Foot Auvergne striker Adrian Grbic, according to Goal. The website claim that the Austrian is one of five players the Light Blues are tracking as they look for a replacement for Alfredo Morelos.

Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster is also being considered as a loan target, while Bordeaux’s Josh Maja, Sint-Truiden’s Mohamed Buya Turay and Dundee United’s Lawrence Shankland all included on the shortlist.

Grbic is probably the least well known of the names that have been mentioned. The 23-year-old has scored 17 goals in Ligue Two, France’s second tier, this campaign.

The forward only moved on a free transfer from Austrian side SCR Altach in the summer, having been mostly used as a substitute during his two seasons with the A-Bundesliga outfit.

Grbic would likely jump at the chance of moving to Ibrox, but it is not known whether he is the Gers’ top priority or whether manager Steven Gerrard has a different target in mind.
