Two notable former Celtic players, Chris Sutton and Charlie Nicholas, have questioned why Rangers have yet to furlough any club staff during the ongoing health crisis.
The Gers’ Old Firm Rivals, as well as a number of other Scottish teams, have been attempting to cut costs while football games have been suspended and the two pundits have said that it is strange that the Light Blues haven’t followed suit.
Fans on Twitter don’t get why Sutton or Nicholas are getting involved:

It could well be the case that there is an announcement from the Rangers board about furloughing staff in the coming days, but if there isn’t, it shows that the finances of the club are in good shape, despite the current difficulties.
No doubt, the team’s run in the Europa League has given the club some future security, while it may also be the case that the club will ask the players to take a pay cut if required, rather than cutting costs in other areas.
