“Nothing Has Been Spoken About…” Rangers Midfielder Reveals His Future At The Club Is In Doubt

Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has revealed that the club have not approached him or his agent about a possible contract extension.

The 30-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season, but Jack says no club official has so far got in contact about potentially extending his stay at Ibrox.

“No, I’ve not (had contract talks). Nothing has been spoken about to myself of my agent. Right now it’s just about focusing on getting a good run in the team, putting a good run together and consistently playing well. Whatever happens on the back of that will happen.”

It is not an entirely surprising development. Jack’s injury problems over the last couple of years have been well documented and the Bears are likely waiting to see how often he features this campaign before making a final decision on a contract offer.

At the moment, the odds would probably be in favour of the midfielder leaving the club next summer. He has once again struggled with fitness issues, and he hasn’t looked all that impressive when he has been handed starts either.

Things could certainly change between now and May, though. Considering he has been an outstanding player for Rangers in the past, he deserves every chance to prove he can still cut it at the top level.
