Rangers will play either Legia Warsaw or Greek side Atromitos F.C if they progress to the playoff round of the Europa League later this month. The Gers have the small matter of overcoming FC Midtjylland first, though.

The Old Firm club face the Danish Superliga outfit away from home first on Thursday before the return leg at Ibrox the following week. Fans on Twitter are, however, optimistic that the Light Blues can now progress to the group stage following the playoff draw:

The last time Legia Warsaw played a Scottish team was when they defeated Celtic in the second qualifying round of the Champions League in 2014. The Polish side were, though, thrown out after fielding an ineligible player.

Atromitos, on the other hand, are not well known outside Greece. They were promoted from the second tier in 2008/09 and have gone on to regularly finish in the top half of the Greek Super League table. They finished fourth last campaign.
