New Transfer Twist A Rival Tables Formal Bid For Key Rangers Target

An unnamed English Championship side have made an official offer for Norwich City winger Todd Cantwell, according to Sky Sports.

The 24-year-old is known to be a key target for Rangers but it appears that the Light Blues may have some competition for the player’s signature.

Sky claim that Norwich did reject the bid, with the proposal not meeting their valuation, and it will likely press the Gers into action by making a formal approach of their own.

Up until now, Michael Beale’s side have not entered direct negotiations with the Canaries but that is expected to change in the coming days.

Cantwell has less than six months remaining on his contract at Carrow Road and, while he has featured pretty regularly for Norwich this season, the feeling is that he is keen on moving on for a fresh challenge.

After a loan spell at Bournemouth last campaign, he only signed a one-year contract extension, suggesting that he was still looking to leave Norfolk and it appears Glasgow could well be his next port of call.
