Motherwell Vs Rangers: Match Preview & Injury News

Rangers are preparing to take on Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend – can Michael Beale’s men pick up another positive result on the road?

Rangers have no new injury concerns – however, their list of players unavailable remains extensive. Steven Davis, Filip Helander, Kemar Roofe, Nnamdi Ofoborh and Rabbi Matondo are all confirmed absentees for the game against Motherwell.

In their last Scottish Premiership game, the Gers defeated Hibernian away from home by a wide scoreline of 4-1. Rangers’ goals came by the way of Antonio Colak, Fashion Sakala and former Newcastle United academy graduate James Tavernier.

Motherwell, on the other hand, were also victorious in their last league game. They beat Ross County at Victoria Park by a score of 2-0, thanks to a brace from Kevin Van Veen.

The last time the two teams met, Rangers defeated the Steelmen by a score of 3-0. Despite a strong start from the Well, the Gers took control and put their superior finishing edge to good use – their goals were scored by Alfredo Morelos, Connor Goldson and Malik Tillman.

Motherwell are currently enjoying a strong run of form, having only lost once in their last five league games. The Light Blues cannot afford to look beyond them – lest they risk dropping vital points.

Rangers are currently second in the league, nine points behind local rivals Celtic. It will take a monumental effort from the Gers to catch them – additionally, they will also need to rely on the Celts to drop points.
