TV pundit Michael Owen expects Rangers to get the result they need when they take on Young Boys in the Europa League this evening.

The Light Blues only need a point to progress to the knockout stages, and after seeing how impressive Steven Gerrard’s side were against Celtic at the weekend, despite losing in the cup final, Owen is backing them to get the victory:

“I expect them to bounce back from their Hampden Park loss to Celtic on Sunday. That defeat did show just how far The Gers have come this season as they outplayed their Old Firm rivals for large periods of the game, and I believe they will do enough to take all three points at what is sure to be a special night at Ibrox.”

Rangers players will be champing at the bit to get back to winning ways. Emotions were running high after failing to beat their Old Firm rivals on Sunday, and they will want to put it right with a good performance at Ibrox.

The Gers only narrowly lost in the reverse fixture back in October, when a last-minute Christian Fassnacht goal robbed them of a point. Young Boys are still in with a chance of qualifying themselves so they will be equally motivated. It should be a special atmosphere when the two teams walk out tonight.
