McAllister Singles Out Two Rangers Stars Who Are Crucial To The Club’s Success This Season

Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister believes the performances of Ryan Jack and Steven Davis have been vital to the team’s performances in recent weeks and months.

The two players have been performing well in the Gers’ midfield and McAllister thinks that the control that they offer the team in the centre of the pitch is very important:

“I think from the split last season the level of performance and the way we have controlled games and managed games, especially in Europe, there is definitely an upturn from last season.”

“I think with the addition of experience, Steve Davis in particular and Ryan Jack, they have been outstanding in the middle of the park for us.”

Jack has started this season in superb form while Davis has come to the fore after initially struggling to make an impact when he arrived on loan back in January.

Now having regained his fitness, he is looking more and more like the player fans saw during his first spell at the club.

Both players won’t be able to rest on their laurels, though. Andy King’s arrival on loan at Ibrox from Leicester City will increase competition for places even more.

With the likes of Glen Kamara, Greg Docherty and Joe Aribo also to call upon, manager Steven Gerrard has a wealth of options at his disposal.
