Manchester United Join 13 Clubs In Pursuing Rangers Teenage Sensation

Manchester United have joined Everton and a “dozen” other clubs in pursuing Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson, according to 90min.com.

The website reports that the Red Devils are keen on finding competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. They had been considering a move for Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier but the 30-year-old is likely to prove too costly.

Alternatives have been looked at, including Norwich’s Max Aarons, but Patterson is believed to be the newest name being watched by United’s recruitment department.

Rangers managed to hold off interest from Everton in the summer transfer window, but if United and other high-profile European teams do decide to go after the 19-year-old, it will be difficult to stop him from leaving.

Patterson put in an excellent performance against Hibernian at the weekend and fans are hoping to see him start more games after the international break. It remains to be seen, though, how long he will remain at Ibrox.
