Laudrup Claims Van Bronckhorst Is Simply Waiting For The Axe To Fall

Rangers legend Brian Laudrup believes manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst is looking for a “decision to be made” on his future.

Laudrup has already been slammed by van Bronckhorst for his comments on his body language but the former Chelsea player claims the Dutchman’s remarks following the draw against St Mirren indicate that he wants the axe to fall:

“After the game, van Bronckhorst spoke about not being certain whether he would still be in charge after the World Cup break. Again, to me, it looked like someone who wanted a decision to be made on whether he is the man or not.”

The vast majority of supporters want van Bronckhorst to step down but, so far, the board have shown no signs that they are looking to part ways with their manager.

Performances have been pretty dire in recent weeks and the World Cup seems like the perfect opportunity to bring in a new man who could have a few weeks of preparation before the club’s next match.

However, all the indications at the moment seem to point towards van Bronckhorst being in the dugout when the Gers take on Hibernian on December 15th.
