Joe Aribo Reveals What He Knows About Potential Rangers Exit As It’s Claimed That EPL Side Are Lining Up Bid

Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo says that he is not aware of any clubs that have shown an interest in signing him.

Crystal Palace are believed to be contemplating a move for the Nigerian international but, when asked about his future, the 25-year-old said he is happy to continue playing for the Light Blues:

“I don’t know (of any interest). I never knew about anything to be honest, I just focused on football. I’m happy at Rangers, I’ve been happy since I got here and I’ve loved every single minute of it. So I’ve just been focused on here and I just want to stay focused because at the end of the day, I’m a Rangers player and I’m not thinking about leaving because I’m really happy here.”

Aribo has twelve months left on his contract and there has been no movement regarding a potential extension. It means the Gers will have to seriously consider any bids for the midfielder if they arrive this summer.

While the Scottish club raised a considerable sum from their run to the final of the Europa League, they are not in a position to allow players, such as Aribo who are in their prime years, leave on a free transfer.

Of course, as we have seen with Connor Goldson, new contracts can be announced out of the blue, but Aribo’s comments don’t suggest an agreement over an extension is on the horizon. The club will likely have to brace itself for bids from Palace and other teams.
