Jamie O’Hara Predicts The Result As Rangers Take On Celtic In The League Cup Final

Rangers will beat Celtic after extra time in this afternoon’s League Cup final, according to talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara.

The former Tottenham and Wolves midfielder is backing Michael Beale’s side to edge out their Old Firm rivals, and he believes Ryan Kent could be the one who scores the winning goal:

“I can’t wait to watch it, it’s a massive one, and I’m going to go with Rangers. Rangers to win it in extra-time, how about that? Ryan Kent scores, it will be 1-1, and then Ryan Kent bags the winner.”

O’Hara is seemingly banking on a repeat of last season’s Scottish Cup semi-final between the two teams when a Carl Starfelt own goal sealed victory for the Gers in extra time.

Considering the form of the two clubs, it is likely to be a tightly contested affair once again but Rangers will be encouraged by their performance in the last Old Firm derby.

Beale’s men came very close to grabbing all three points in the league game at Ibrox in January, where a late close-range strike from Kyogo Furuhashi meant that the Gers had to share the spoils. Bears supporters will, though, gladly take an extra-time win to secure the club’s first silverware of the season.
