The journalist reports that the cost of the deal will remain undisclosed but Norwich have given permission for the player to hold talks with Gers boss Michael Beale:

As Fletcher mentions, Cantwell has yet to say ‘yes’ to the switch, indicating Beale may need to do some convincing to get the 24-year-old to sign on the dotted line.
There could also be issues surrounding personal terms. It is believed that Cantwell is earning around £25,000 a week with the Canaries, and he is unlikely to be open to dropping his salary to make the move to Ibrox.
Cantwell is a player that Beale is a big fan of, having described the former England Under 21 international as “excellent” in a recent interview. It’s now up to the winger to decide whether he wants to join the Light Blues.
