Rangers attacking midfielder Malik Tillman scored his eighth goal of the season as the Light Blues secured a narrow 2-1 win over Ross Country at the weekend.
The 20-year-old headed in a cross from January signing Todd Cantwell just before halftime, helping Michael Beale maintain his unbeaten start as manager.
Tillman is on loan from Bayern Munich until the end of the season but the Gers do have an option to buy the player and fans on Twitter are backing the club to snap him up on a permanent basis:
It's a no brainer for me. I honestly don't understand what more people want for their money. 20 year old, been at a top club and makes it look easy here.
I think we are mental if we haven't already written the cheque.— gogzy (@gogzy_k) February 4, 2023
He is a superstar in the making

Surely it makes financial sense. Keeps playing like that his value is going to go up and up.

Buy him for the £6m (?) and he will have at least trebled in value within two seasons.
The ultimate no brainer!

He is a genuine elite talent we get once in a generation.

In all honesty I thought we should have signed him in this window instead of waiting till the summer but I trust and respect as well as believe in Michael Beale

Reports in the German media suggest that it could cost as much as £6m to secure the American international’s services, so that is likely the reason why Rangers haven’t triggered the clause already.
The board will probably wait until the summer to make their final decision. It is also important to note that Bayern do have a buyback option of their own but that would only come into effect at some point in the future IF Tillman does complete his permanent switch to Ibrox.
