Rangers striker Antonio Colak scored his first competitive goal for the club in the 2-0 win over Kilmarnock on Saturday.
The Croatian was criticised following his performance against Union Saint-Gilloise last week but he showed his composure in front of goal with an excellent finish to put the Bears in the lead earlier in the second half versus Killie.
Supporters on Twitter believe that Colak will quickly silence any doubters if he is provided with sufficient service by his Gers teammates:
If he’s supplied… he’ll score! Tillman could be key to this

He’s a striker. A want him in the box so. Yes other people should create for him that’s their jobs

Of course he’ll score plenty of goals for Rangers. It’s just extremely disappointing that an element of our support & few Ex players had already written the guy off. Get behind our players, they thrive on support not negativity.🤞

Hopefully he now kicks on from here and settles down more. Always important for a striker to get their first goal. Definitely going to be a big player for us going forward.

Former Rangers star Mark Hateley branded Colak a “waste of time” following his anonymous display in the Champions League but many feel that his criticism overstepped the mark somewhat.
It’s important to remember that the 28-year-old hasn’t been signed to be a regular starter, and he has already shown signs that he could be a decent alternative to the likes of Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe, who are expected to be ahead of him in the pecking order.
