Ianis Hagi ‘Will Leave’ Rangers In The Summer Following Boardroom Shake Up

Rangers midfielder Ianis Hagi “will leave” the club in the summer, according to the Corriere Dello Sport. The Italian newspaper cites Dave King stepping down as chairman as a key factor in the decision with his successor Douglas Park not looking to make major investments in the playing squad.

The Light Blues can sign the Romanian international for approximately £4m in the summer, following his loan spell, and there have been a number of reports in Scotland that have suggested the club will snap him up on a permanent basis.

However, the Italian press have consistently contradicted this. They have continually linked Lazio with a move for Hagi and the Corriere Dello Sport suggest that the 21-year-old “dreams” of playing on a big stage such as Italy.

Rangers fans will be hoping these assertions turn out not to be true. The Romanian has performed well since arriving from Genk in January, scoring three goals and providing two assists in 12 appearances.
