‘He’s Not Getting Games How?’ ‘Start Him On Sunday’ Fans React As Rangers Ace Makes His Point To Gerrard In Training

Rangers winger Jordan Jones was not in the matchday squad for yesterday’s game against Standard Liege as he is not currently eligible for the Europa League.

Despite impressing in the 5-1 win over Motherwell last month, the Northern Irishman was a surprise omission from the squad, along with Jermain Defoe and George Edmundson, due to the lack of homegrown players.

Jones has done his best to impress manager Steven Gerrard by scoring a great goal in training. He nutmegged Steven Davis before cutting inside and scoring with a curling effort into the top right-hand corner past Allan McGregor:

Supporters on Twitter are all asking why Jones is not starting more often for the Light Blues:

Especially after Brandon Barker’s less than stellar performance in the Old Firm derby last weekend, you would have thought that Jones would be in pole position to replace him against Livingston this Sunday but we shall have to wait and see what happens.
