“He’s Certainly For Sale” Journalist Reveals Rangers Target Is Available But Price Tag Is Major Stumbling Block

Liverpool winger Harry Wilson is on the transfer list, according to The Athletic‘s Reds’ correspondent James Pearce.

There have been rumours that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard could return to his former club to sign the player but Pearce thinks the Wales international’s £15m price tag would put them off:

“Rangers haven’t asked about Wilson yet, not sure if that will change. He’s certainly for sale this summer. But at £15m it may only be PL clubs who can afford him. Wouldn’t surprise me if one of the promoted clubs went for him.”

Wilson has just ended a loan spell with Cardiff City in the English Championship, where he scored seven goals and contributed 12 assists in 37 appearances for the Bluebirds.

The only reason why he ended up at the Welsh club in the first place was because Liverpool failed to find a buyer last year due to their excessive demands.

There is no guarantee that potential suitors will be prepared to pay Wilson’s valuation this summer either, so the sensible thing to do from Rangers’ perspective, could be to sit tight and wait and see if he becomes available at a more affordable price.
