“He’s A Fighter” De Boer Backs Rangers Ace To Succeed If He Seals England Move

Former Rangers midfielder Ronald de Boer has backed Alfredo Morelos to be a success in the English Premier League if the Colombian makes the switch when the transfer window reopens.

Some reports have claimed that the 23-year-old could be sold for a knockdown price this summer due to the financial impact of the global health crisis.

De Boer believes that if the Gers were forced into selling up, Morelos does have the attributes to perform in England:

“I think he would do well in the Premier League because he’s a fighter.  He is a bit crazy – there are not so many strikers who get so many red cards, but he’s a great player.”

“He loves his goals, he’s a predator. I think he’s been a great signing for Rangers. He can do well and I can understand [why] the clubs of the Premier League are interested in him.”

The likes of Newcastle, Aston Villa, West Ham and Leicester have all been reported as potential destinations for the Colombian, although there have been no formal offers.

Rangers supporters will be hoping that Morelos won’t be leaving Ibrox any time soon. The striker has struggled for form in recent months, having scored just once since the New Year, but he has been one of the club’s key players this season, having scored 29 goals in 46 appearances.
