Rangers have confirmed the signing of Steven Davis from Southampton on a one-year deal.
The Northern Irishman had been on loan at Ibrox, but he has now joined the club on a permanent basis.
Fans on Twitter are very happy that Davis has committed his future to Rangers beyond the end of the season:

Meh. He’s been great recently but with absolutely zero pressure. Let’s hope it works out.

At 34, Davis isn’t a player for the long-term but he will offer much-needed experience for the squad heading into next campaign.
After moving on loan in January, the midfielder did struggle for form, having failed to feature for Southampton much in the first half of the season.
Davis has gradually refound his game in recent weeks, including two excellent performances against Motherwell and Hearts, as well as another decent display versus Aberdeen last time out.
Gers boss Steven Gerrard had previously said that he wanted to secure the Northern Ireland captain to a long-term deal, and he has now got his wish.
