Rangers goalkeeper Robby McCrorie has been called into Scotland’s senior squad for the games against Israel and the Czech Republic next month.
The 22-year-old is currently out on loan at Livingston but manager Steve Clarke has selected him alongside Jon McLaughlin and Ryan Jack for the two UEFA Nations League fixtures.
Supporters on Twitter have been congratulating McCrorie on his call up:
McCrorie is a great addition. I think he’ll go on to be our number one and will eventually play at Rangers. Good to tie Dykes up to. I agree options limited.

It is a surprise call up in some ways, considering he has let in nine goals and kept no clean sheets in his four matches for Livingston so far this campaign.
However, McCrorie did impress whilst at the club in his first loan spell last season and Clarke is likely keen to see the keeper up close in order to assess whether he has the potential to develop into an international player in the future.
Many Rangers fans have tipped McCrorie to succeed Allan McGregor as the Light Blues’ number one but he will need to get more games under his belt at senior level if he is to be a genuine contender for the Gers’ first team.
