Rangers posted a picture of Glen Kamara as their ‘Pic of the Day’ on their official Twitter account yesterday and fans have been replying in their droves calling on the club to get the player tied down to a new contract.
The Finnish international has been in superb form this season and supporters have asked for the 25-year-old to be handed a contract extension that will keep him at Ibrox for the long term:
Get that man a new deal mr @RangersFC

Confident he’ll sign a two year extension – wait till the big guns see him strutting his stuff in the Chanpions League – £££££££ all round, everyone’s happy.

Respectfully disagree , 2 years is danger zone time his agent will be telling him to sit tight and let the big clubs circle in the summer giving the club a decision to make to cash in full value or let it dwindle, tav goldson also critical but I trust they won’t let Gerrard down

Kamara’s current deal expires in 2023 so the Gers board may not feel that it is urgent to open discussions with the player. However, manager Steven Gerrard has been very vocal in advocating for the midfielder to be rewarded for his performances.
One of the main reasons that Gerrard is so keen for Kamara to commit his future is the fact that a number of clubs have taken a keen interest in the Finnish star, with the likes of West Ham, Arsenal, Leeds, Brighton and Sheffield United having all been mentioned as possible destinations in recent months.
