Gerrard Reveals Whether Rangers Have Received Any Bids For Glen Kamara

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has confirmed no club has made a formal offer for midfielder Glen Kamara this summer.

The Finnish international has been linked with West Ham, Arsenal and Everton in recent months and when asked about the 25-year-old, Gerrard said there had been no movement regarding the player’s future:

“At the moment we haven’t had one single bid for a player apart from George Edmundson, and we accepted that bid.”

Kamara has less than two years remaining on his contract at Ibrox, and there is no sign that he will put pen to paper on an extension anytime soon.

The Light Blues are not in a position where they need to sell him yet, but his value will begin to depreciate if his current deal does run down into its final year.

Saying that, though, Celtic recently sold Kristoffer Ajer to Brentford for an initial £13.5m, even though he had less than 12 months lefts on his contract, so the Gers would be confident of getting a similar fee for Kamara next summer if he does want to leave the Scottish champions.
