Gerrard Eyeing Deal For Another Liverpool Player Who Is Available For Free

Rangers are one of a number of teams interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella, according to reports in the English media.

The 22-year-old impressed while playing for the Reds in the FA Cup this campaign but he is out of contract at the end of the season and will be available on a free transfer.

There had been claims in recent days that Nantes were the favourites to snap up Chirivella with the Ligue One side preparing to offer a three-year contract to the player.

Whether Gers boss Steven Gerrard will be able to persuade him to make the move north of the border instead, it remains to be seen.

Chirivella actually made his senior debut for Liverpool just a few months after Gerrard left Anfield, but he has found regular football hard to come by, having played just 11 games for the Reds over the past five years.

He also had two loan spells in the Eredivisie with Go Ahead Eagles and Willem II during that time.
