Gary Neville Delivers Emphatic Answer When He Is Asked Which Ground Has The Best Atmosphere

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville had no hesitation in saying that Ibrox was the best and loudest atmosphere he experienced during his professional career.

The former Manchester United defender played against Rangers on just one occasion in 2003, and it seems to have left a lasting impression on him, based on his response to a question from fans:

“Ibrox. Honestly, we played them up there in the Champions League game. Celtic Park was incredible. Turkey, Istanbul, Galatasaray, is probably the most ferocious atmosphere that I have ever seen, but Ibrox is definitely the loudest.”

Numerous opposition players have praised the atmosphere at Ibrox, especially for European nights, over the years, and the club’s return to the top table of Scottish football means there will now be many more of these special occasions in the future.

Neville’s endorsement is pretty impressive, considering the various places he has played in his career. As well as facing Galatasaray in Turkey, he has experienced the intense atmosphere of Anfield, whilst he has played at the Camp Nou and the Bernabeu. Claiming that Ibrox has the beating of all of those places is something Gers supporters can be extremely proud of.
