Zungu plays as a holding midfielder
The South African can play slightly further forward but, in general, he plays as a defensive midfielder, and will be competing directly with the likes of Glen Kamara and Ryan Jack.
The big difference between them and Zungu, though, is that the new signing will offer more energy. His all-action style should complement the players already in the squad, giving Steven Gerrard a different option.
