Former Arsenal And Benfica Winger Would “Jump At The Chance” Of Replacing Kent At Rangers

Queens Park Rangers winger Chris Willock would “jump at the chance” of moving to Rangers this summer, a source has told the Daily Record.

Gers boss Michael Beale, who worked with Willock during his brief stint in charge at QPR earlier this season, wants to bring him to Ibrox, and an insider has revealed that the ex-Arsenal and Benfica player is very open to the transfer:

“With a player this talent[ed] available at a cut-down rate – or maybe even for free – it’s a no brainer for Michael. Chris would absolutely jump at the chance and the boy would light up Ibrox.”

Willock’s contract expires at the end of the season, although QPR do have an option to extend his stay for an additional year, so Rangers will probably have to pay a fee for the 25-year-old.

His best position is on the left wing, cutting in onto his stronger right foot, so it is very possible that Beale is targeting him as a replacement for Ryan Kent.

The Rangers forward can leave Glasgow on a free transfer at the end of next month, and he has been heavily linked with a switch to English Premier League newcomers Burnley.
