Rangers have not performed particularly well since the winter break, and it has led to some rumours that there were issues in the squad following the mid-season training camp in Dubai.
However, an ITK Twitter account, which is known to be a reliable source, has said that there were no problems of any kind and that recent poor performances are simply down to form:
Dubai –
Important to clarify something, there was NO issues, incidents or problems in Dubai. The players had a good training week
Rumours or talk of anything is an absolute nonsense & those (ex players or otherwise) should know better
The players have hit a bad patch but

Fans on Twitter are glad that the reports of problems in the squad have now been put to bed:
Folk looking for stories that aren’t there. The pressure was on and the players have buckled again. It’s that simple

We are struggling just now, it’s amazing that these rumours always raise their head at this stage but not when you are winning games! Been like that forever in football, especially in Glasgow

Same as last seasons bad patch.

My concern is that the players appear@to have been put through the mill. They played a lot of games and feel as if should have been a more Relaxinf sessions with focus on keeping them fresh ,maybe more tactical but to hear players were spewing at the side of the park is unreal

I don’t disagree, but it’s the exact same problems as last year. A few sessions on the sand dunes of Gullane would be better. Going away to a warmer climate, then coming back here isn’t working for Rangers.

Added to the fact that’s what the tims we’re doing ,light training sessions ,plus we played a game etc . Just don’t think it was the right way to do it

No excuses the players aren’t good enough and unfortunately Celtic are better than us
Still dont have the physicality throughout the team to grind out league wins week in week out
Kilmarnock & Aberdeen nullify and beat us too easily
Gerrard needs another sit down with Walter

I know il get pelters but I don’t think we can underestimate how much the pitch has affected our style of play. The ball is holding up and slowing our play that and bad refereeing has cost us as much as the players performances

There are always people trying to search for explanations when there is a sudden change in form, but at the moment, it must be said that Celtic have simply been better than the Light Blues since the beginning of January.
Neil Lennon’s side haven’t dropped a point, and while the Gers may have expected to stay on their tail, manager Steven Gerrard simply hasn’t gotten enough out of the players at his disposal. Whether that will change in the coming weeks and months, we shall see.
