Five Things To Know About Rayhaan Tulloch: The West Brom Starlet Being Targeted By Rangers

The Ibrox Stadium.

Rangers are one of three clubs taking a keen interest in West Brom forward Rayhaan Tulloch, according to reports in the Scottish media.

West Ham and Brighton are also said to be keeping tabs on the 19-year-old with scouts having been impressed with the player’s performances at Under 23 level this season.

Gers manager Steven Gerrard will need to reinforce the frontline with Florian Kamberi expected to return to Hibernian once his loan spell comes to an end.

So what do we know about Tulloch? Press the next page as we go through five facts about the youngster.

He’s a Baggie through and through

Tulloch was born in Birmingham and made his way through the youth ranks at the Midlands club before making his professional debut back in January last year.

Rangers will, therefore, have to work hard if they want to sign the striker. Gerrard has had some success in persuading young players in the past, with Joe Aribo having made the switch from Charlton last summer.

Tulloch has been prolific at youth level

The teenager has scored 23 goals in 38 appearances for West Brom’s Under 18s, and he has shown he is equally capable of scoring at Under 23 level, having bagged nine in 14 Premier League 2 games this season.

Tulloch’s performances have been recognised with call ups for England at Under 16, Under 17 and Under 18 level.

He has very few first-team appearances

After making his senior debut against Brighton in the FA Cup last season, Tulloch has only managed four more appearances for the first team, with three of those coming in the FA Cup.

He is yet to make an appearance in a league game with Slaven Bilic having named him on the bench only once in a 2-0 win against Luton at the start of February.

Tulloch’s contract expires very soon

The 19-year-old’s current deal at the Hawthorns expires at the end of next month, meaning he will be free to discuss terms with interested teams.

Tulloch is clearly a talented player and so it is no surprise that Rangers are considering snapping him up for a nominal fee this summer.

He is able to play in a variety of positions

Tulloch can play right across the front three. In his three substitute appearances for the Baggies’ first-team this campaign, he was employed by Bilic on the right flank, left-wing and as a support striker.

That flexibility would certainly come in useful if the forward were to decide to make the move to Ibrox.
