Ferguson Calls On Rangers To “Pull Out The Stops” To Secure Deal For £12m Rated Winger

Rangers legend Barry Ferguson wants the club to sign Ryan Kent on a permanent basis this summer.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan from Liverpool, but Ferguson is hoping that manager Steven Gerrard can use his Reds connections in order to secure a deal:

“Rangers have got to pull out the stops to get him [Kent]. Whether Steven Gerrard can get a favour off Liverpool. He has got to be a major signing.”

Signing Kent may prove to be a big challenge. There are reports that the winger will only be sold by Liverpool for £12m; a sum well out of Rangers’ price range.

Another loan deal could possibly be considered but his form in the Scottish Premiership this season has likely piqued the interest of other clubs as well.

Prior to his spell in Scotland, the winger had loan spells at Coventry, Barnsley, Freiburg and Bristol City but his best form has come since moving to Ibrox.

After linking up with Gerrard last summer, Kent has made 39 appearances for Rangers in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing nine assists.
