Ex Rangers Manager Is ‘In The Frame’ To Take Job Both Pochettino And Tuchel Were Sacked From

Former Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is “in the frame” to replace Christophe Galtier as Paris Saint-Germain head coach, according to the Scottish Daily Express.

Gerrard has been out of work since being sacked by Aston Villa back in October but the Liverpool legend has reportedly been “discussed” as an option by PSG’s board as they consider replacements for Galtier.

The French club are top of the league but they lost to Marseille in the domestic cup, and they are in danger of being knocked out of the Champions League after a home defeat in the first leg of their last 16 tie against Bayern Munich.

PSG are not afraid to sack managers, having dispensed with the services of Thomas Tuchel at the end of 2020, a month before he joined Chelsea. Ex-Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was also sacked last summer.

In fact, it is believed that Tuchel could be one of the main alternatives to Gerrard, despite having lost his job at PSG previously, so we shall see how this story develops.
