European Giants Join 5 EPL Clubs In Battle For Rangers Midfield Enforcer

Rangers’ Europa League group opponents Benfica are the latest club to join the battle to sign midfielder Glen Kamara, according to TEAMtalk.

The Finnish international has clearly impressed staff at the Portuguese club as he started both group matches which ultimately ended as draws.

However, TEAMtalk also claims that Kamara is now being pursued by no less than five English Premier League teams including Everton, Southampton, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Sheffield United.

The former Arsenal academy graduate has been in superb form this season, but manager Steven Gerrard’s call for the 25-year-old to be given a new contract has not led to the player putting pen to paper yet.

Kamara has confirmed that he has not held discussions about signing a new contract, although he has also been keen to emphasise that he is happy at Ibrox. With interest growing, the Gers may want to push ahead with talks as soon as possible in order to ensure he stays at the club.
