Rangers goalkeeper Robby McCrorie has joined Queen of the South on loan for the rest of next season.
The 21-year-old is currently behind Allan McGregor, Wes Foderingham and Jak Alnwick in the pecking order at Ibrox.
Some fans agree that McCrorie needs more game time at senior level but a few were left disappointed that manager Steven Gerrard hasn’t opted to keep him for next campaign:
Disappointing. Understand he needed to go on loan but he proved himself in the Championship. A loan move to League One in England would have been much better for him and us.

Our future No 1 … all the best on loan, Robby.

Makes sense. Behind McGregor, Fod and his brother in the pecking order hope he gets good experience there.

When do we start using these lads?

Don't think he's ahead of Fod or McGregor this season. Getting regular game time is much better than sporadic bench time

Good luck to him, hopefully he comes back after this season a better player and maybe push for McGregor’s spot next season

@ChrisBurns1989 that's a great move.

McCrorie spent the second half of last campaign at Championship side Morton and he performed pretty impressively.
The keeper made 15 appearances, conceding 15 goals and keeping six clean sheets in the process. Queen of the South finished second from bottom of the table last campaign, and only managed to stay up after winning a two-leg playoff against Raith Rovers.
McCrorie will be hoping he can help his new side to an improved position in the table next season and impress with his performances for the first team.
