‘Cracking Signing If True’ ‘Makes A Grand Total Of 0 Sense’ Fans On Twitter Debate Rangers’ Move For Wales International

Rangers are closing in on a loan deal for Leicester City midfielder Andy King, according to reports in the English media. The Welshman is said to be travelling to Glasgow today for talks about a potential switch.

Supporters on Twitter are not sure a move for the 30-year-old is a good idea, considering the number of midfielders manager Steven Gerrard already has at his disposal:

The argument can be made that you can’t have too many good players in your squad. However, it does seem like one area of the pitch where the club already have a number of different options.

Joe Aribo and Steven Davis have been added this summer to a midfield that already has Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara and Greg Docherty. Where King fits into things, it remains to be seen.

The Wales international is a box to box midfielder with an eye for goal and you can read a more in-depth profile here.
