Rangers look set to miss out on Saint-Etienne winger Denis Bouanga, with Los Angeles FC now in “advanced talks” to sign the player, according to journalist Fraser Fletcher.
The MLS side have previously had a €3.5m (£3m) bid rejected for the 27-year-old, with Saint-Etienne reportedly demanding a fee in the region of €5m (£4.2m), but Fletcher claims the two sides are close to an agreement:

It doesn’t appear that Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side were ever seriously interested in Bouanga. Reports in the French media had suggested that the Gers, along with Anderlecht and Club Brugge, had made enquiries about the player but it seems they haven’t made any attempt to compete with LAFC for his signature.
Following the arrivals of Rabbi Matondo and Tom Lawrence in recent weeks, the Scottish side aren’t exactly short of options in wide areas, but there was some speculation that the club may be looking at replacements for Ryan Kent. The former Liverpool player has still not signed a contract extension despite his current deal running into its final year.
