Daniel Candeias has left for Turkish side Genclerbirligi for an undisclosed fee, and after leaving Ibrox, the former Rangers winger took to Twitter to pay tribute to the club and fans.
The 31-year-old says he will cherish the memories of his two-year stay at the Scottish club:
It was a tremendous honour for me to wear this badge! It’s a hard farewell due to all the fantastic moments i lived here. I will treasure these memories forever!
A huge thanks to the Rangers supporters for all the love and support.

It must be said that the move was very much at the behest of the player with manager Steven Gerrard having said he was happy for the player to stay at Rangers.
However, the Gers boss did tell the Portuguese star that he couldn’t guarantee him a first-team place, especially after the arrival of Sheyi Ojo on loan from Liverpool.
With Candeias nearing the end of his career and wanting to play regularly, he was allowed to move to Turkey for a new adventure. During his time at Ibrox, the winger made 97 appearances, scoring 14 goals.
