Championship Star Agrees Three Year Contract To Join Rangers

Norwich City midfielder Kieran Dowell has agreed a three-year contract with Rangers, according to reports in the Scottish media.

The 25-year-old will become a free agent when his current deal with the Canaries expires in June and he now appears poised to make the switch to Ibrox.

Dowell looks set to tread the same path as Todd Cantwell, who made the move from Norfolk during the January transfer window.

It should be noted that Dowell hasn’t formally signed a pre-contract agreement yet but it has been claimed that the midfielder has shaken hands on the transfer.

Dowell was a regular starter for Norwich before picking up a knee injury in February, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 25 appearances.

The playmaker’s fitness record is a slight concern, having also had ankle surgery back in 2020, but he was fit throughout last campaign so, if he gets a good pre-season, he should be able to stay free of injury.
