Celtic Vs Rangers: Match Preview, Injury News & Betting Odds

Rangers will have no better opportunity to get back into the Scottish Premiership title race than on Saturday, as they take on league leaders Celtic in a massive Old Firm derby clash.

Rangers are expected to be without Kemar Roofe, Tom Lawrence, Steven Davis, Nnamdi Ofoborh and Filip Helander for the game against Celtic. Thankfully, the likes of Rabbi Matondo, John Souttar, Ridvan Yilmaz and Nicolas Raskin are all expected to be fit and ready to take on the green half of Glasgow.

In their last game, Rangers defeated Dundee United by a score of 2-0. The Light Blues were largely dominant, enjoying a 77% share of the total possession – however, they were prone to lapses of concentration that gave United chances – something they will not be able to do against Celtic. Ultimately, the Gers’ two goals both came through Malik Tillman.

Meanwhile, Celtic beat Ross County in their previous fixture by a score of 2-0. Despite the win, several Celtic fans were unhappy with how their team performed – if the Celts do not give 100% in the upcoming Old Firm derby, Rangers could capitalise and pick up a shock victory.

Currently, Celtic are the heavy favourites to defeat the Gers with the bookmakers (via Oddschecker). The Celts have cumulative odds of 3/4 to win on Saturday – meanwhile, the bookies collectively have Rangers at 15/4. The draw is rated at 16/5.
