Brian Laudrup Gives Backing To Rangers Making Double Transfer Raid

Rangers legend Brian Laudrup has called on Everton’s Tom Davies and Norwich’s Todd Cantwell to make the switch to Ibrox.

The English duo have been mentioned as potential targets for the Light Blues and Laudrup says he would encourage both of them to move to Glasgow:

“I’ve seen the recent links between Rangers and Todd Cantwell and Tom Davies. I’m sure those players will be making calls just now, looking for advice and sounding out the situation. For any footballer, having the right people in your corner can make all the difference when it comes to a potentially life-changing decision. I might be biased, but I would always give Glasgow the seal of approval. Those who end up in the city will have an experience they won’t forget.”

It is believed that an approach for Cantwell is likely to be made soon, although there is an additional complication in that an English Championship team is thought to have made their own offer in the past couple of days.

Norwich rejected the bid but it does suggest that the Gers may have a battle on their hands if they want to secure the 24-year-old’s signature.

When it comes to Davies, manager Michael Beale has said he can’t confirm the club’s interest in the former England Under 21 international, but it is important to note that he didn’t completely refute the rumours either. It’s definitely one to keep an eye on.
