Beale Hints That There Could Be MORE Than 5 New Signings As He Plans Big Summer Overhaul

Rangers boss Michael Beale says he does expect there to be more than five new additions to the squad this summer if some players also leave Ibrox.

Despite having not lost a league game since being appointed back in November, Beale has revealed he is planning a massive overhaul of the first-team squad at the end of the season:

“In terms of the number of signings, there is no set number on it. But you could say now there will comfortably be five new faces. If we sell, we’d replace like-for-like in terms of positions. So it could be any number.”

It’s clear that Beale feels a revamp is required if the Gers are to compete with Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.

Supporters have been disappointed with some of the players that have arrived at the club over the last two to three transfer windows, with Director of Football Ross Wilson getting the brunt of the ire from fans.

A lot of that is justified, not only because of the poor quality of the signings brought in, but the number of injury-prone players that were recruited. For that reason, Beale’s focus on a major rebuild is warranted.
