“Attracting Serious Interest…” Journalist Claims Old Firm Are Set To Battle It Out For 3M Pocket Rocket

Rangers and Celtic are both “keen” on signing Blackburn Rovers’ Tyrhys Dolan, according to talkSPORT journalist Geoff Peters.

The reporter claims that the Old Firm rivals and Nottingham Forest are all pursuing the diminutive winger, who is likely to be available for between £2m and £3m this summer:

Dolan has spent two seasons in Rovers’ first team, having joined from Preston North End on a free transfer in 2020. It must be said that he is hardly prolific in front of goal, despite having played his fair share of games as a striker last campaign.

The 20-year-old managed only 5 goals in 36 appearances but he does have a great deal of potential and Rangers may believe they can help him develop his game.

Whether director of football Ross Wilson would sanction a bid for Dolan that would match Blackburn’s demands, though, it seems doubtful, but we shall see if the Gers do make a formal approach in the coming weeks.
