Rangers attacking midfielder Joe Aribo could leave Ibrox “as early as next week” according to Football.Scotland reporter Mark McDougall.

The journalist believes that the Nigerian international has opted against signing a new deal and he is now looking for a move away from the Scottish club:

At the moment, it is not clear which team Aribo will be joining, but the likes of Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Crystal Palace are said to be among the favourites for his signature.

The 25-year-old does reportedly have a £10m release clause but, as the player is within the final year of his contract, it isn’t known whether these clubs will be prepared to pay the buyout fee.

From McDougall’s remarks, though, it appears Aribo is confident that he can seal a departure from the Gers very soon. We shall see if a team does formalise their interest in the player over the coming days.
