Arsenal Transfer Could Impact Rangers’ Attempts To Sign Algerian Star Who Had 16 Goal Involvements Last Season

Lyon could join Rangers, Saint-Etienne and Sassuolo in the battle to sign Nimes winger Zinedine Ferhat, according to reports in the French media.

Houssem Aouar is expected to leave Lyon this summer, with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham thought to be interested in the France international, and Ferhat is being eyed as a possible replacement.

The Algerian had a good season for Nimes, despite his team being relegated from the top flight. He scored six goals and contributed 10 assists in only 33 league appearances.

Gers boss Steven Gerrard is reportedly looking to strengthen the right-hand side of his attack, and Ferhat does seem like a good fit considering his performances last campaign.

However, with Lyon now getting involved in the race for the 28-year-old’s signature, the Light Blues will have their work cut out if they are to beat off their rivals to secure his services during the summer transfer window.
