Aribo And Edmundson To Start: Rangers’ Predicted XI To Face St Joseph’s

With Rangers 4-0 up from the first leg, it’s likely that manager Steven Gerrard will ring the changes in the second match against St Joseph’s this evening.

George Edmundson and Joe Aribo were both named on the bench for the game in Gibraltar and the pair may be brought in to the starting lineup at Ibrox.

Gerrard has also hinted that Josh McPake will be involved in the squad this evening, but he’ll likely start on the bench.

New £3.5m signing Filip Helander won’t feature as he is ineligible for this round of the Europa League, and despite scoring two goals against Marseille in a 4-0 friendly win last weekend, Daniel Candeias also isn’t involved.

The Portuguese winger was surprisingly omitted from the squad by Gerrard for this European tie. The Rangers boss could be tempted to make more changes but he may want to continue with a more settled side to ensure new players like Jordan Jones and Sheyi Ojo continue to settle in.

Alfredo Morelos could also make a start ahead of Jermain Defoe after the Colombian came on a substitute to score in the first leg.
