The agent of Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has dismissed speculation linking Serie A side Fiorentina with a move for the Colombian international.

There had been reports in Italy that suggested that the Viola may be lining up a bid for the forward but Theofilos Karasavvidis says he has had no contact with the Italian club:

“He is a Glasgow Rangers player, there is nothing to comment for the moment. I am not aware of these contacts.”

It is believed that Rangers will sell Morelos if a bid in the region of €20m (£18m) is made but, so far, the only team to have made a serious offer for the 24-year-old is Lille.

The French side have, however, signed Jonathan David from Gent and are believed to be waiting to sell Jonathan Ikone in order to fund the rest of their transfer business before the window closes next month.

It remains to be seen whether Morelos will be reintegrated into the first team setup if no buyer can be found. The Colombian last played for the Gers in the 0-0 draw against Livingston almost a month ago.
