After an outstanding season, supporters are unsurprisingly finding it difficult to choose Rangers’ player of the year.
There are a lot of candidates, including the likes of captain James Tavernier, Allan McGregor and Steven Davis; all of whom have played an integral role in securing title number 55.
However, while there was a lot of debate about who is most deserving of the accolade, many fans on Twitter feel Connor Goldson is the favourite for the award:
Goldson all day long. Played more games than anyone, been a tower of strength for our back line & has driven us forward when the chips were down.A leader. Love Greegsy but Id rather see an outfield player win the award? If Tav hadn't got injured he'd be my guy but all 4 are worthy

Goldson. Purely for his 48 appearances in every game this year, his goals and his defensive play. Quite sure if Tavernier hadn't got injured he'd of win it.

Goldson for me Tav is very close though but Connor has been an absolute rock at the back this season played every minute with out being subbed , he’s been a great leader and Has scored Important Goals for us and just is so crucial and consistent to our teams success this season .

Goldson without a doubt, played every minute of every game this season and has been solid at the back and has also popped up with a few goals

Would not be disappointed with any of these 4 winning it. Picking one – it would be Goldson. Battling back from his heart condition, playing every game this season, knocking the stuffing out of Celtic and Shane Duffy at the start of the season and sticking up for Kamara ????

Was Tav all day long until Christmas, but Goldson has been immense al season

McGregor and Davis have been immense this year but for me Connor Goldson gets my vote

When you look at what Goldson has done this season, he is certainly one of the frontrunners. The 28-year-old has played every minute of every game in all competitions, and he has been part of a defence which has conceded just 10 goals in 33 league matches.
For his consistency alone, he would have to be in the frame for the honour but, considering how pivotal the club’s defence has been to the club’s title challenge, he would undoubtedly be a fitting winner.
