‘A Tower Of Strength’ ‘Immense’ Rangers Fans Pinpoint Frontrunner For Player Of The Year

After an outstanding season, supporters are unsurprisingly finding it difficult to choose Rangers’ player of the year.

There are a lot of candidates, including the likes of captain James Tavernier, Allan McGregor and Steven Davis; all of whom have played an integral role in securing title number 55.

However, while there was a lot of debate about who is most deserving of the accolade, many fans on Twitter feel Connor Goldson is the favourite for the award:

When you look at what Goldson has done this season, he is certainly one of the frontrunners.  The 28-year-old has played every minute of every game in all competitions, and he has been part of a defence which has conceded just 10 goals in 33 league matches.

For his consistency alone, he would have to be in the frame for the honour but, considering how pivotal the club’s defence has been to the club’s title challenge, he would undoubtedly be a fitting winner.
