Rangers winger Ryan Kent will be scouted by English Championship table toppers Burnley in upcoming fixtures, according to reports in the Scottish media.

The 26-year-old, who cost £7m when he made the permanent switch from Liverpool in 2019, is set to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.

Burnley are expected to send observers to assess whether Kent should be snapped up ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Vincent Kompany’s team have secured promotion with a number of games left to spare and it appears that Kent is one of the names they are considering to bolster their squad ahead of next season.

The Englishman’s departure from Ibrox is looking increasingly likely, with just over a month remaining on his current deal. It should be pointed out, though, that Connor Goldson signed an extension last year within a day of his original contract expiring so there is still some hope for Kent.
